I am an independent insurance agent with over 20 years of experience writing only crop insurance. Products include the USDA's full line of multi-peril crop insurance, private products that enhance the USDA's offerings, and crop hail and wind insurance.
I pride myself in assessing exactly the right coverage for each individual. I can incorporate actual yield histories, expected costs, budgets, and marketing plans to reduce net farm income risk over a wide range of price/yield possibilities.

ARC-county is a free farm program that you can sign up for at your local FSA office. You sign up by farm number and crop. Your choices are ARC-county, ARC-individual, and PLC. SCO is a supplemental coverage offered by your multi-peril crop insurance agent and is therefore signed up by crop in an entire county. Both ARC-county and SCO are based on county yields, but the price used to calculate the guaranteed revenue for the two products will be much different in 2022. There is a much more detailed discussion of ARC and SCO for 2022 the newsletter which can be downloaded below. Send me a question by clicking in the circle of the lower right side of the screen if you have problems.
